Freed of London have supplied dance shoes for professional Ballet, Ballroom and Theatrical dancers for many years now, but we are also proud supporters of social dancing as it is one of the most inclusive and lenient dance there is. From any age and at any level, social dancing is for you, and can benefit you and your health in a very fun and effective way!
Physically, it almost goes without saying that dancing can be extremely beneficial, it strengthens your body, builds stamina and gets every part of tour body moving.
Learning new dance steps and routines doesn’t just get your body moving, it gets your brain moving too! It’s an environment where you are constantly learning new things, memorising steps, following patterns and generally having a brilliant time – it’s brain training without the boring stuff.
Social dancing can also give you a chance to concentrate on yourself as it offers a healthy form of escapism. You could be achieving new goals that you never thought you could reach and putting yourself outside of your comfort zone, all whilst having fun.
And, you probably guessed it because it’s in the name, but socialising is a huge part of social dancing. You will be given opportunities to meet new people, make new friends and put yourself in social situations that you’d otherwise never be a part of.
Freed of London support social dancing through our stylish, comfortable and varied social dance shoe collection which we believe caters to everyone’s needs. With a range of heel styles and sizes, colours, materials, designs and fits, every social dancer is taken care of and made to feel good and comfortable in our shoes. We have even launched two new styles of comfortable and classy social shoes (named Tyler and Nessa), available with a 13/8 “ (3.5cm) and 1 5/8” (4cm) heel in black suede, red patent and nude leather.
Freed of London understand the importance social dancing can bring to someone’s life, so we will always be happy to help and support dancers of all levels, ages and styles.
